Kimberly Ware Outstanding Achievement Award

The Kimberly Ware Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes an outstanding graduating senior who has demonstrated significant achievement through meaningful contributions to workplace projects during one or more work terms while participating in Virginia Tech’s Cooperative Education and Internship Program (CEIP).

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Kimberly Ware Outstanding Achievement Award, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Complete one or more work terms through the Cooperative Education and Internship Program (CEIP) enrolled in CEP 4084.
  2. Be a graduating senior in good standing with a 2.0 or higher at Virginia Tech during the academic year of the award.
  3. Successfully complete all CEIP requirements and earn a Satisfactory in CEP 4084.

Selection Considerations

In addition to meeting the minimum eligibility requirements, applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Significant involvement in and contribution to a project or projects during their co-op or internship experience.
  • The impact, outcomes, and value generated through their project work.
  • Professional accomplishments achieved during their work term(s).
  • Contributions that created measurable value for their employer, team, organization, or community.
  • Professional growth and application of academic knowledge in a workplace setting.
