Newport News Shipbuilding Scholarship
Funded by Virginia Tech, the Newport News Shipbuilding Scholarship is a merit based scholarship for continuing undergraduate students in the College of Engineering interested in the maritime or shipbuilding industry. Recipients will have demonstrated leadership qualities through involvement with school programs or clubs. Recipients will continue to receive additional scholarship awards in subsequent academic periods as long as they continue to major in the College of Engineering, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and remain in good standing with Virginia Tech. Eligibility for awards will be a maximum of three years for rising sophomores and two years for rising juniors.
