Ralph & Betty Carlson Biotechnology Scholarship

Funded by Virginia Tech, the Ralph & Betty Carlson Biotechnology scholarship is awarded to rising sophomore, junior or senior students majoring in a Life Sciences field who have completed or are currently enrolled in a research course at Virginia Tech. Applicants should possess a current minimum 3.0 GPA average. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate experience with research training, including, but not limited to, hands-on experience in wet labs or conducting field work, or students who have participated in grant writing or preparation/submission of research papers. This scholarship will cover one academic year and is non-renewable. Changes in funding may cause VT to replace this award with another award for the same amount.
