- The purpose of the Rucker Scholarship is to support students who have a desire "to practice family medicine in a rural area." Do you believe that the description of the Rucker Scholarship currently matches your goals?
- In 250 words or less, please describe how this scholarship will affect your ability to grow in your professional development towards a career in rural medicine. That is, if you were to be awarded a scholarship of up to $2,300, what opportunities would you be able to engage in that would otherwise be unavailable to you? Please focus on how this scholarship will enable your participation and how participation in these activities or projects will assist you in fulfilling your career goals. For example, if these funds will allow you to participate in hospital volunteer work instead of working for $12 an hour to earn $2,000, you could work as a volunteer for 167 hours to gain valuable clinical experience that will enhance your future application.
