MIT Scholars

Funded by Virginia Tech, MIT Scholars provides an average of $2000 per spring or fall term for tuition and fees to support applicants who are pursuing a Master of Information Technology degree. The scholarship is open to students whose enrollment contributes to the diversity of the MIT Program and are traditionally underrepresented in technology. Students must be a citizen or eligible non-citizen and enrolled in at least six MIT credits in their first fall or spring term of study to receive this scholarship. The scholarship may be renewed for students with good academic performance and who remain continuously enrolled, completing four MIT courses per year. The maximum number of award terms per student is four. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need. This award can be combined with other scholarships or tuition reimbursement programs, but may be reduced or canceled if the student receives full tuition from other non-financial aid-based sources.
