Jane D. Newell Scholarship

Funded by Virginia Tech, the Jane D. Newell Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students in the College of Science from the City of Richmond who have demonstrated financial need and high academic achievement. The scholarship is renewable if the student continues to demonstrate financial need and continues to progress towards a degree in the College of Science. If there is no eligible applicant from the City of Richmond, second preference will be given to residents of the following Virginia counties: Henrico, Goochland, Powhatan, Chesterfield, New Kent, or Hanover or the cities of Petersburg, Hopewell, or Colonial Heights (“the Richmond Metro area”).
