Dorothy Foster McCombs Scholarship

This is an annual scholarship made available to undergraduate students participating in Appalachian Studies and who are from the Appalachian region or who can demonstrate close ties to it. Applicants for the scholarship must also have completed or be enrolled and in good standing in at least one course in Appalachian Studies. Applicants must have freshman, sophomore, or junior standing and a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Selection will be based on the applicant’s demonstration of interest in Appalachian Studies, academic qualifications, need, and academic/leadership potential.
